Spinal Flow

Empower Your Well-being

What is Spinal Flow -

Spinal Flow is a holistic modality that was founded by Dr Carli Axford. The Spinal Flow Technique is a powerful, hands-on therapy that is based on scientific research and underlaying chiropractic philosophies. The modality utilises 33 access points (highly innervated area's) that are located along the sacrum and on the head to connect in with the nervous system and create ease in the body. The nervous system are one of the master controllers of the body. Spinal flow practitioners are able to connect in and clear along the spine and the nervous system, freeing any trapped blockages (physical, mental, or emotional) that may have been stored in the body. When this occurs, the body is free to heal itself.

What is Chemical, Emotional, and physical stress

As we go through life we go through stressors that get stored in our body and along our nervous system. There are three types of stressors - chemical, emotional, and chemical:

Chemical Stress - Chemical stressors are in our day-to-day environment. They can take the form of toxins or imbalances. Externally they can come in the form of exposure to pesticides, car fumes, smog, cleaning chemicals etc. We can also ingest them, they can also come in the form heavy metals, cigarettes, or processed foods etc.

Emotional Stress - Emotional stress can creep up on us at times. For example, feeling stressed out from work. Or looking after an elderly parent. They can come from any situation that you perceive to be stressful - family events, emotional trauma, burnout etc. Worrying about a situation, feeling fear, frustration, sadness or even PTSD can be signs of emotional stress.

Physical Stress - Can come from an event where you sustained a physical injury, such as a sporting injury, or a car accident. This injury may still be held in the body - for example a slipped disk, headaches, hard blockages along the spine.

What is a spinal wave

Spinal flow practitioners work with the natural rhythm of your breath to create a spinal wave. A spinal wave is created when the practitioner taps into the nervous system via the 33 access points. By intuitively tapping into these access points and working with the breath the innate healing energy is able to move more freely along the spine and create the spinal wave.
